Part 8 had us using a relay, the transistor and resistor to control a simple motor in two directions. Here is what it looked like when it was working.
Once complete we then changed from using a relay, because they are mechanical switches and more prone to failure, to using an H bridge transistor configuration so power the motors. Same concept, as above, just different implementation. This one took a while to get right. |
The next component of this lab included changing the direction control leads to the arduino. You’ll note that I added an LED to help diagnose motor direction. |
